The four-stage tower at the north end of the west front.

Rock-faced limestone walls, and the variation in how the stone is worked.

Inside: the high altar of Caen stone and marble, 1899, and the open scissors-truss roof.
Built in 1896 to a design by George Goldie. Cruciform, gable-fronted, with nave, transepts and side aisles.
The appraisal notes the contrast deliberately: "The interior of the church is warm, bright and colourful, being in direct contrast to the limestone exterior."
